Testa Wedding

The photos for the Testa Wedding could very much speak for themselves.
The pictures show a beautiful rehearsal, ceremony and reception.
Couldn't have asked for a more fun couple to photograph.

The Bride and Groom exchanged letters to each other the day of the ceremony.
After hair, makeup, and all the other things brides do to prepare for the ceremony, it is surely the words from the letter that fill her mind in the moments before dawning the dress.

The Groom was busy much of the morning coordinating the ceremony and decorating.  It's always good to pass the rings along to the Best Man for safe keeping.

It was lucky that it did not rain the day of the ceremony.  Dark clouds hung over the distant horizon the morning of the wedding.  To play it safe, the ceremony was moved inside the beautiful venue chosen by the couple.

The fair weather left an opportunity for the newlyweds to visit the green.
The two made it to the most scenic sites of the resort to play a little golf.
There could have been no better way to live in the moment.

The 9th hole of the golf course revealed a breathtaking site.
Several photos were captured along the ridge overlooking the lake.

There was no plan for this shot.
(I was just happy to have my hand over the shutter button when he swept her back for a kiss!)

A happier couple couldn't be found anywhere.

The wedding favors were gifts of cookie cutters that accented the very deliciously-enjoyable cookie buffet table.  There was a candy toss for the kids and other fun times for all guests.

Many congratulations to the newlyweds!
Thank you both for having me to photograph an epic day in your lives.
May your happiness together continue for years to come.

Whoa.  Can't believe it's been so long since I've updated the blog.  Time has gone by so quickly.  In the words of that one country song it (time) keeps marching on.  Well what's done is done, what's missed is missed.  I'll not go back and retroactively add photos.  Instead, I'll start anew with photos taken within the last couple of weeks:

It's great to share the shot above.  This trail is right next to my house.  The best photos seem to be the unplanned, un-staged, and spontaneous ones.  For me at least, if it looks like it took a lot of work to put together, then it probably takes a bit of work to look at.  This photo was cake.

To take my own advise, this shot took two seconds to shoot.  The time saved in shooting was more than made up for in the editing stage.  Brown was the dominant color in the original photograph, but with a little work the leap was made to transform the color to blue.

Had to throw this picture in.  Secretly, it's only because it's a shot of my puppy.  :-D
Isn't he cute?

It's so lucky to have photogenic friends that don't mind having their picture taken.  Whitney and I found a wonderful spot on a very extremely long wicked steep iron man quality but fun hike that showcased the light from the setting sun perfectly.  It was very good timing.

Everything in my photography doesn't have to be whimsical.  Though I admit to being biased toward the pastels, there are times when black and white are certainly the way to go.  My husband, super though manly-man, cutie that likes strawberry shakes ;-), really appreciated this shot of the tree line.

More photos to come soon.
In the mean-time, treat people like flowers and plan to check back in!
